msg food solutions ag, formerly Softproviding ag, is the Food industry competence center of the msg group.
We bundle deep industry know‑how and SAP expertise since 2000 to deliver solutions for the food industry – from primary production to industrial processing and the shopfloor.
As part of the msg group, we work closely with other msg units and combine food industry expertise with scalable technology and consulting capabilities while we support our customers in designing efficient, transparent, and future‑proof food processes – with a strong focus on industry requirements, operational excellence, and modern SAP architectures.

Established SAP industry solutions (Private Cloud)
Our proven industry solutions are productively used by numerous international customers and are listed on the SAP price list. They are primarily deployed in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environments and are continuously maintained, enhanced and validated through SAP’s Premium Qualification process.
An end‑to‑end industry solution for the meat and fish sector – covering primary processes, processing, traceability, and settlement.
A specialized solution for the dairy industry with a focus on aging processes, quantity and value changes, planning, and costing.
Classified Procurement incl. Milk Collection & Payment
We have long‑standing expertise in the procurement, classification, and settlement of primary products, where quantity, quality, and price are determined after goods receipt. These solutions are productively used today on SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud) and form a key functional foundation for the transition towards cloud‑based architectures.
Classified Procurement is the functional core for purchasing and settling primary products such as milk, livestock, and other agricultural raw materials. It supports classification, pricing, settlement, and traceability based on SAP standard objects.
Milk Collection & Payment is a well‑established dairy‑specific implementation of Classified Procurement that is to be integrated with Dairy Management by msg in a future release. It covers milk collection, tour and quantity planning, quality management, price calculation, and settlement of milk suppliers.
New solutions for SAP Public Cloud & SAP BTP
In parallel, we develop cloud‑native food solutions that consistently follow the SAP clean‑core strategy and are designed for SAP Public Cloud and hybrid scenarios.
Modular food‑specific functionality on SAP BTP, acting as an industry cloud extension for SAP S/4HANA and targeting public‑cloud‑ready architectures.
Production and shopfloor solutions for the food industry, focusing on SAP Digital Manufacturing as well as device and edge integration.
